Member
A council person is elected by direct election by the residents as a member of the local council. The member has the authority to participate in the decision-making of the council as the representative of the residents and is obligated to sincerely perform his/her duty.
The tenure is four years. The Jangsu-gun Council consists of seven council persons.
Chairman and Vice-Chairman
One Chairman representing the council and one Vice-Chairman doing the job of the Chairman when the Chairman is indisposed are elected by private ballot in the plenary session. The tenure is two years. The Chairman performs the job of representing the council and supervising the work of the council.
Special Committee
The Special Committee is organized to temporarily review and handle a special agenda and exists temporarily to review the special agenda.
General Affairs Department of the Council
The Jangsu-gun Council has an office department tasked with handling the affairs necessary to help the Council execute its functions, including the deliberation and resolution of ordinance bills, deliberation and confirmation of budget bills, and other activities, more efficiently.
Office of Experts
Expert members, endowed with specialized knowledge, provide crucial support for the independent legislative endeavors of the chairman and fellow members. Within the committee, these proficient members engage in the assessment of bills, administrative audits, and investigations pertaining to petitions and other pertinent issues. Additionally, they are responsible for the collection, examination, research, and presentation of relevant materials associated with the matters falling under their purview.
